| K-SAT,
k-core and jamming: a novel kind of phase transition Lincoln Chayes (UCLA Math) Oct. 13, 2004 |
|
| Various aspects of the problems of Jamming, K–core and K–SAT will be discussed. Arguments to the effect that these systems bear some interrelation will be presented. Notwithstanding, it will be demonstrated that underlying these systems is a novel sort of phase transition which will prove to be interesting from both the mathematical and physical perspective. In honor of the first joint Condensed Matter/Probability Theory seminar, the presentation will be executed in such a fashion that it resides in a region equidistant from all parties concerned. | |
