Organic crystals and polymers – advances and a little bio-inspiration
Abstract:
The
purpose of this presentation is to give a brief review of seminal (old, but
classic!) and recent work in the organic materials community in the area of
“small molecule” organic materials and devices, and polymeric
materials in several cases. The presentation will focus on recent activities
by various groups where there has been some significant advance in synthesis,
function, room temperature performance, and/or application. Topics will include
promising examples of sensors, nano-strucutres, multiferroics, interfaces,
and bio-inspired materials.
