Title: Quantum Phase transitions in Nano-matter

Abstract:

The idea of this talk is to explore quantum phase transitions around the absolute zero taking place in Nano-systems by tuning some intrinsic parameter. One unavoidable parameter is certainly the voltage noise produced by any resistive world capacitively coupled to the nano-system of interest, here a charge qubit (superconducting or non-superconducting). We will precisely analyze the quantum phase transitions emerging by tuning the resistance of the external world and predict important consequences for experiments.
