"Quantum
Hall tunnel junctions: Natural settings for Luttinger liquid physics and quantum
coherence effect"
Abstract:
I will talk about some exotic physics we can learn by studying
Quantum Hall tunnel junctions in various settings. In particular, I will present
our theoretical picture on the physics of Quantum Hall line junction observed
in recent experiments. I will also talk about our work in progress, in which
we are investigating a clear cut signature of fractional statistics in Quantum
Hall Jain states. In this on going project, we have noted more boson like behavior
for some filling factors and more fermion like behavior for some other filling
factors.
