Time-resolved X-ray scattering on biological systems and synthetic polymers

The potential and limitations of time-resolved X-ray scattering in the study of structural changes in biological systems – in particular molecular machines - and synthetic polymers will be illustrated using examples like the photocycle of bacteriorhodopsin and thermal properties of polyoxymethylene.
