Heavy Fermions, Coherence and the Quantum Critical Point
Abstract: The low temperature properties of
the Kondo lattice, exemplified here by CeCoIn5 and its analogs, can be experimentally
described as the condensation of a heavy Fermion liquid from a gas of Kondo
centers. The argument is made that the establishment of coherence accompanying
the formation of the heavy Fermion liquid is identical to the formation of a
new Fermi surface which includes the Ce 4f-electron.
