UCLA Faculty Center, Sept. 16-17, 2009
David B. Cline at UCLA and George Fuller at UCSD presented a workshop on Supernova Physics and DUSEL, held at the UCLA Faculty Center on Wednesday Sept. 16 and Thursday Sept. 17 in the Hacienda Room.
Topics included:
- Supernova dynamics; neutrino spectral swap; quantum kinetics, transport
- Neutrino properties and supernovae: extraction of the neutrino properties including mass hierarchy and Θ13
- The detection of neutrinos and anti-neutrinos at DUSEL (water detectors, liquid Argon detectors, supernova relic neutrino)
- The DUSEL lab and supernova detector design/strategies
