Background
My name is Luiz Galdino and a junior student at UCLA. I was born and raised in Brazil, and I came to the United States in 2001. I transferred from College of the Canyons located in Santa Clarita, my hometown, about 33 miles from UCLA. I have been married to Juliana Lima since 2004 and I work at Gruber Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of artificial granites, in the Quality Control lab. I joined Dr. Grüner’s Nano-Biophysics group in Spring 2005. I enjoy reading, and sports (soccer, basketball, swimming).

Current Research
In essence, I am interested in the physics and design of nanodevices that will be applied in the biomedical field such as drug delivery and detection of diseased cells.
