Matthew Spotnitz

Background
Matt Spotnitz is a graduate student in Physical Chemistry. He is interested in biological and chemical sensing with 1D fibers, such as carbon nanotubes and polyaniline nanofibers. Matt received a BA in Chemistry from Harvard University. While at Harvard, he studied the controlled alignment of carbon nanotubes, on steel fibers, with Professor Howard A. Stone. Also, Matt studied the fabrication of silicon nanowire based sensors with Professor Charles M. Lieber. Originally, Matt is from New York City.
