Rashid Williams-Garcia

Background
I grew up in Southern California, and have always found the Physical sciences to be interesting. Before college, I had never taken a Biology course, but when I began to read about how Physics and Biology could work together, I was motivated to take Life Science courses at UCLA. Currently, I'm a 4th-year Physics undergraduate and hope to continue my studies to earn a PhD in Biophysics.

Current Research
My interests include many of the biological applications for nanotube transistors and nanofabrication. I am currently learning about and assisting with research involving optical molecule coated nanotubes ("bio-solar cells") and biodetection.
