Postdoctoral Fellow in Experimental Nanoscience and Biophysics University of California, Los Angeles

The Department of Physics and Astronomy and the California Nanosystems Institute at UCLA are seeking candidates for a postdoctoral fellow in experimental nanoscience and biophysics. The position will focus on 3D imaging of nanoscale materials and biological systems using coherent X-rays. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conducting experiments at SPring-8/RIKEN in Japan, the APS in Chicago and the Linac Coherent Light Source at SLAC that is scheduled to operate in 2009. Experience in synchrotron radiation, coherent X-ray scattering, and/or phase retrieval is preferred, but candidates with a strong background in other areas will also be considered.
