When a lithium niobatecrystal is heated by 10's of degrees it accelerates electrons to energies in excewss of 30keV (see figure above). when the electrons strike a zinc sulfide target they create the pattern observed in the movie (click on "See Movie" above) click here to SEE MOVIE |
