Hauser has taught many physics and astronomy courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. Favorites are:
| In Fall 2013, Hauser taught Physics 226A, a graduate-level elementary particle physics class, largely from CERN. For the middle six weeks of the quarter, the class was taught remotely using simple tools - Skype and a good webcam from Hauser's office at CERN. A modern, experiment-lead approach to the curriculum was pioneered, including the use of computational programs for evaluating Feynman diagrams and incorporating proton structure functions. By all accounts, this was a successful trial of long-distance learning. |
