UCLA Doesn't Do Windows - Ever!

This was an example of a USEFUL webpage - within days after putting the following on the web and bringing the Chair's attention to it, everybody had clean windows... see below.

16-Mar-2005

UCLA has never cleaned the windows of Knudsen Hall in the 15 years that I've been a professor here. During the past 3 years or so, the PAB building has been going up just to the west, and the construction work coated all the windows of Knudsen Hall on this side with a layer of mud.

Now that the PAB construction is finished, I decided to do something about the window situation in my office. So I went to work with a squeegee, risking life and limb by reaching far out of the window with a 4-floor drop to concrete immediately below.

Now my office view looks better than anyone else's in Knudsen Hall. But I think UCLA should be ashamed that they don't do windows - ever!
