This is a page I created for the Return to Mars 1997 NASA Ames Center for Mars Exploration CD-ROM.

You can explore Mars in Apple's QuickTime VR. If an image of Mars appears below, you're all set! To move around, just drag the mouse on the image.

If the VR movie is not working, make sure your computer has QuickTime 2.5 for Macintosh or later, or Quicktime 2.1 for Windows and the browser you use has the QuickTime Plugin in its Plugins folder. QuickTime is available for download at the Apple QuickTime Home.

That's it! If QuickTime VR is still not working, technical support is available at the QuickTime Help Page or the Plug-in Information Page.

Interactive Pathfinder data is also available using VRML at the ARC Intelligent Mechanisms Group website. To view the VRML files, just follow the Intelligent Mechanisms Group instructions. However, as of September 10, 1997, VRML browsers were PC only.
