I am a plasma physics graduate student at UCLA, currently work with Professor Chris Niemann's High Energy Density Plasma group, studying collisionless magnetized parallel shock formation in astrophysically relevant laboratory experiments. My current work focuses on the role of ion-ion beam instabilities in shock formation. I'm particularly interested in developing technologies that may transfer to future engineering applications.
