I would like to recruit one PhD graduate student to search for (and find?)
Supersymmetry by analyzing data from the CDF experiment. A data run
will start in early 2000 which is expected to yield 20 times more data
than previous runs. Software studies need to be done to find the best way
to identify Supersymmetric particles. There is also software to be developed
to turn raw detector information into well-measured electrons. Some experience
with programming and/or hardware is desirable, but the main thing is good
physics ability.
